A Visit from the Past

I was surprised by a sudden loud knock on the door this afternoon. It was my friends surprising me holding a chocolate cake. Since they forgot my birthday, they try to compensate with a surprise visit. Disappointed with the thought of them forgetting, I was still touched by their gesture. They were already on budget and yet, they bought me a gift. They're so sweet. I missed them already.

I met them in my 1st year in college. Since then, we were friends. I hope nothings going to change between us.

A Birthday to Remember

It was my birthday last October 8. It was a bittersweet moment. I had a party at the office sponsored by my office mates including my superiors. We had cake, spaghetti, and ice cream. They even sang me a happy birthday song.
It was one of the moments I felt genuinely happy. After enjoying the party, I had a bad case of tooth ache.
Yes! a tooth ache caused me to have a sob fest. I was in the sofa crying my eyes out because of a tooth. I guess it wasn't a perfect day, but still It was my birthday.
